2010 Grand-Am Camaro Racecar

Hey guys, I thought it's about time we posted up our 2010 Camaro that we race in the Grand-Am Contintal GS series. We as well as several other teams are still developing this car during the 2010 season and hope to be competitive ASAP. Let me know if you guys have any questions about it at all, on with the pictures:

During the build and first livery

With the new livery of flat black and yellow since round 2 at Miami:

Also, here is some video taken from the Miami-Homestead weekend, hope you guys like it.

Great looking cars!!! The more Racing Camaro's the better!
Wish SpeedTV would show more of them!
In the Rolex series they tend to focus to much on the Protoypes.
Hope to see more of your Racing Camaro Team out there!
We'll be rooting for ya and the other Camaros Race Teams!

Thanks guys, the car has been great so far. If any of you are coming out to any of the Grand-Am events this year be sure to let us know and we can show you around the car and whatnot. We just finished up a test recently in Virginia and are eagerly looking forward to Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama next week for Round 3.

I know a lot of the car has to be stock, what can you modify? Suspension, gears, engine? Of course we all know racing is where the best mods come from!

You are correct, a lot of the car actually has to stay very stock. The racecar started life just as any other Camaro SS and came off the showroom floor out in Mooresville NC. It's then taken down to the chassis, stripped, acid-dipped, and seem welded back together for a much stiffer chassis. We use the Koni Double-Adjustable shocks which are mandatory in this series, coupled with a custom roll bar and spring package everywhere we go. We literally tailor the setup to each racetrack and each session. The car also has much larger 4-piston brakes with 2-piece rotors up front and 2-piece rotors in the back. For the engine, it is left pretty much bone stock as in this class cars range about 375-425hp. They are rebuilt by CRD with a few components and of course the mandatory Bosch Engine Management, we use a Motec data system to record everything we do from water temp to fuel pressure to individual wheel speeds to sense the smallest bit of wheelslpin or ABS etc. Right now the car weighs 3300lbs dry, for a full spec sheet from Riley, simply click the link below. Like I said, it's been a great car so far, a blast out there on the track!

Unfortunately the closest we get to you is Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, just about 40 minutes out of Salt Lake City. This is actually a brand new facility within the last 5 years and cost a mere $118 million to build, there is not a detail left untouched at this place! Here is a direct link to our 2010 Grand-Am schedule as well as the SPEED TV broadcast schedule.
