Honestly guys, the decision is pretty simple, there are a lot of Catch Cans on the market today. Some good, some are just empty beer cans with fittings. Go with a company that has the experience to produce this product. > We have been designing, engineering, and manufacturing our Catch Cans for almost ten years, we're not new to this market. > We are the original designers of the 3-stage Catch Can design > We're the only Catch Can that General Motors has installed on their track cars and R&D cars at the GM Proving Grounds in Milford, Michigan. > Our Catch Can has been listed in many of the automotive magazines. > We have degreed engineers on staff that do all our own Engineering work and testing in-house, we don't contract or consult with outside engineering > We machine everything in-house, by our staff so we can control the quality, fit and finish of our parts. > Our Catch Can is moderately priced, not over priced. > We offer our Regular Catch Can and the Larger E2 Catch Can to suit your specific needs. > Coupled with our new Clean-Air Separator, we have the entire PCV system covered for you. Shoot us an email if you have any specific questions, and we'll try and get them answered as quickly as possible. Again, thanks for all the support we have received over the years of orders. You guys ROCK! Last edited by Elite Engineering; 06-05-2014 at 07:19 AM. |

No need to be so quick to switch Catch Cans, be sure you have it connected correctly. Also check downstream of the Catch Can, is there any oil present downstream? If not, you're probably doing fine.

Almost anything will work for a CC. What it does condense oil out of the air oil vapor, so the can needs suffice area for the oil to condense to, something to to hold the oil, also like any other still or condenser it needs to cool the air oil vapor to get the oil out of the air, also slowing it down will help condense. The motor is hot so it does not all condense inside the the engine. In the engine compartment most are installed, but if you can get it in the CAI it will stay cool. Now many say that the air is cool when mounted in the engine bay, not so, that's why we have a CAI and not getting hot engine bay air. Yes a empty beer can will work as a CC, but looks?

PS: Mounting the can inside the air box is a pretty good idea. We had a customer do a remote mount outside the engine bay a couple months ago. |
