Like austinjames said. If you have no other priorities, you can spend whatever you want.

How many people have 6 months worth of income saved up in case they are laid off, also known as an emergency fund?

How many people could use that mod money to pay down debt, or use as a downpayment on a house?

But, if you have it and want to spend it, more power to ya.

This is my disease right now. Can't stop thinking about mods in almost 2 months time after buying her I spend bunch of money already for tinted windows,gm ground effect, plasma bulbs for DLR, just ordered afterburners, ghosted sidemakers combo with plate led lights, square exhaust tips for grounf effect diffuser plus the labor for installation. And so many more in my list.

I think its too much if you couldn't afford a 100 bucks for pair of sneakers, or can't afford for your monthly gym membership or skip lunch at work?

Gotta save on labor, I don't know about anyone else but for me I like being hands on, I love doing it all myself

I'll be honest If it wasn't for this site I wouldn't of known how to start or do half the mods I've done, but with the DIY section and a friend or 2 you can do almost anything yourself, only thing I can't do myself is anything that involves using a jack stand cause I don't own one

Besides saving money on install I just like being able to say I did that myself

Yes you'll know when it's done. Performance mods can carry on but cosmetic changes eventually come to a halt for me.

You have to have discipline and can't go overboard, I see
way to many people do mods just to to mods. Just because you
add something to your car doesn't mean it's always the best
Thing for it. There are too many cars that are way over done.
Sometimes less is more.
That being said, I don't no if ill ever be done modding my
car. A little at a time and hope its tasteful.

Some people have more dollars than "sense" when it comes to modding their cars. I have a way to go before I'll say "I'm done" but I'll try to keep it in good taste.

for me it's simple, on all the cars I have modded, I have a specific look and power set in mind, for the look I photoshop/sketch out what I want it to be, once that is complete that part is done.

For power I have always wanted to meet certain goals, be it a 1/4 mile time, or auto-cross track time.. I knew what was required to reach my goal, when the goal was reached it was done.

For the Camaro I am not modding the motor I bought it strictly for a daily driver and fun in the sun convertible.

I want to keep modding, but most of the stuff I would even consider doing next (blower, cam, etc) costs big bucks! I miss the days when I could spend 300 bucks on a CAI or 150 on a TB.

There's a different limit for everyone. I'm sure plenty of people think some of us are crazy, who replace a perfectly good motor with a bigger one lol. There's always upgrades coming out for our car, and if you got the money, go for it! At some point, it will stop, but there will always be minor things. Obviously the ones who are spending a lot (myself included) have an addiction lol
