Guitar Guys, Show your collection (pics required)

So i figured i would see if any one else out there likes to play (or try to like me anyways lol)

i went and put 2 guitars on lay away last night at Guitar Center, i dont play often and suck but i will start practicing more when i get my new guitars

the 2 guitars on lay away i dont have any pics of so i picked some off google images lol

I put a Gibson SG Special Faded with Moon Inlays on lay away at a Guitar Center in Indiana since mine didnt have it (paying 480 and another 150-200 for a Gibson OEM case)



i put a Epiphone Les Paul Standard on lay away last night at my local Guitar Center (paying 350 for it and another 100-200 a Epiphone Les Paul case)




I own an Epiphone SG G-400 which was my first guitar (paid 250 for it)

His first guitar was a 3/4 size Strat Squier (met Ted Nugent and his autographed it. Oh man, he is a cool cat!)Second was an Epiphone Les Paul Standard
Now he has a B.C. Rich.

1988 Fender HM Strat, rare because it was one of the earliest American made HM Strats. Most were not produced in the United States until after 1990.

I photoshopped that pic. That one is actually hot pink. Mine was the purple. It looks much more like the photoshopped pic than the purple in this ad from the 1980's for that guitar. These were later model HM Strats, as you can notice they lack the "Strat" logo. Also, mine has no pic guard, it's nekkid on the front, and was a maple fretboard rather than rosewood. I paid about $700 for it back then, including the case.

The "HM" designation was for "Heavy Metal". The frets are w i d e r and the neck is about half as thick as most Stratocaster guitars. The sound is straight 80's hair band / Arena rock. Which is my era Here's another good example of the sound.

sounds mean, my Epiphone SG doesnt sound any where near that lol i hope my Epiphone Les Paul or Gibson SG will sound better, then again it probably saounds bad cause i suck at playing lol when i played alot i knew 2 songs but i havent touched my guitar in about a year, so im gonna try to pick it back up

I've had a few Epi Les Pauls. I found a noticeable difference between the Korean and Chinese made versions. I've got an older Korean LP Custom and that thing is heavy and sounds great. I switched the pickups to a AlnicoII in the neck and a Pearly Gates in the bridge and it sounds great. The best it sounded was when I had it running in a bi-amp set up with a Marshall head and a Vox 2x12. I'd run the Marshall side dirty and the Vox side with a little distortion. Sounded amazing.
