bought a used 2010 found a small wiring harness

i found a small wiring harness in the glove box its a 8 pin female on one side other is a 8 pin but 6 pins are all thats stickin out on the male side what is this it is black with purple ends 6 wires.

It eliminates (temporarily while installed) the factory program shift points for the manual transmission.

It might be The DRL light kit. I bought one and it looks just like it. here is a picture of it.

It lets you run the DLR lights at the same. DLR lights only works when the headlights are off.
as where they are installed I do not know yet.

It goes between your passenger side fog/driving light and the connection going to the fog light! You kinda have to take your wheel well liner loose to get to it.

Kinda interesting that dealer would go through the trouble of removing it just to throw it in the compartment. I always thought that used cars were thoroughly cleaned out?
