Tuning Help - Las Vegas

Ok so I am relocating to Las Vegas for work and I have some questions about my 2012 L99. My car has LT headers, no cats, CAI intake, 3 inch jba exhaust, vmax TB, and 3.91 gears. It was dyno tuned in Miami for 93 octane fuel.

My question is this....Miami is basically at sea level. Las Vegas is at over 2,000 feet in elevation. Would I need a new tune just for the elevation alone?

Also, Vegas does not have 93 octane. The highest they have is 91 so I assume a new tune would be necessary unless I mix 100 octane with 91.

Anyone recommend a good tuning shop in Vegas?

I have been doing remote tuning for RRW in Las Vegas for the last few months, he is all set up with everything I use and is a really honest guy to work with.

what I would do is ask guy in the California section for a reputable shop near you.

Then I would contact that shop and ask then how much for a couple dyno pulls scanned with HPT Tuners or EFI live.

Have them do a couple pulls on the car and ask to look at the scan. Your not as much interested in your dyno number because that would change from dyno to dyno, but the scan will show if there is any knock and how your fuel trims are holding up. If you have no issuse, you have the piece of mind and are good to go. If you have over two degrees of retard, then go to plan B to remove it.

dab86,

Phil is correct the best way to go about it is to get some good data on your car running the wonderful 91oct we have here in Las Vegas. This will give you the needed information on how your existing tune is performing with the fuel change. We would be more then happy to help you with this, and with our in house Dynojet 224xlc chassis dyno, HP Tuners, EFILive support we can accommodate any of your needs now our in the future.
