Well, after leaving home at 4:45 am. Some of our Illinois Camaro Club Members and I went to the Lane Automotive Car Show on Saturday - May 23rd. We brpught a total of six cars five fourth gens and my 2010.

There were well over a thousand cars and hot rods on display. If you haven't gone to this event. I suggest you check it out. It is held in late May every year.

Anyway, we all arrived together, and headed as a group to our parking area.

After parking and cleaning, our cars, I just kind of wandered off and watched what happened.

Holy Smokes. Virtually the entire day, there were 10-20 people standing around my car. (Granted, it was the only 2010 at the show.) But oh my! What an attention grabber.

Comments overall were very positive. Of course, there were he few nit--picky things that we have all read about online. I won't get into those, they were just plain silly to me.

But the response was just amazing. I sat off to the side, just listening to people. This car is just flat out amazing.

Even more amazing to me was the fuel mileage I had. Verified 21.7 mpg at an average of 70-80 mph. Not too shabby with only 300 miles on the clock. (Posted in another thread on here.)

The funniest thing that happened was at a tollbooth in Illinois. As I took off from the booth, the toll taker, almost fell out of the booth watching me leave. That was way too funny!

I felt bad for our other guys. Their cars are beauties.

the black 4th gen convertible is beautiful though...where can i get a custom grille like that? i like it

but yeah the new kid is on the block
