EU tail lights and mirrors ruin the car, that's why I ordered mine direct from over your way.

Ever since 1999 EU cars need to have folding mirrors, for "pedestrian safety". Idea behind it is that the mirrors can not kill a pedestrian when you hit them with it.

Minimum surface that a mirror needs to cover is something like 4 cm x 12 cm, which is the area that needs to fit completely in the glass without touching the edges. So I don't see why the US mirrors couldn't simply be made to fold in... the surface is more than sufficient.

Anyway, it's pretty hard to imagine hitting a pedestrian with just the mirrors the way they're on the Camaro, but then again... Friend of mine bought a 2010 Mustang with a track pack last year, and he had to remove the rear carbon spoiler, for the exact same "pedestrian safety". Reasoning was that the carbon is "too stiff", and it could kill a pedestrian in case of an accident. Erhm... wake up call: that pedestrian would have to pass an entire car before hitting the spoiler on the trunk...

Crazy EU rules, really...

Angry

EU is protecting their market from influx of much cheaper american cars. Mostly has to do with BMW, Merc, Audi and rest. I had to pay my Camaro double the real price in US...
It's still not enough to stop people wanting cars like Camaro, Mustang or Dodge Challenger. Becouse of it EU invents more stupid rules to prevent people buying them. If you want a car with more than 300 BHP, they want you to buy a BMW or Aston Martin for 170.000 eu...
Then you wont be forced to look at ugly and oversized mirros...
Bastards

Tint the Euro tail lights like the hotwheels Camaro and we have a winner.

Honestly I don't really see the big deal with the mirrors. I do have to wonder if they have the defroster, and auto dim on the 2LT / 2SS

where are the back up lights? are they LEDs around the regular tail lights? I like the rear appearance without them.

The "LED's" must be the "Backup" lights, because they are not in the rear bumper cover.

They're all leds... tail lights (red), indicators (orange) and backup lights (white).

How hard would it be to swap the us version for the euro tail lights including getting a new bumper?
