100 Octane Calibration

2017 GM PERFORMANCE CATALOG

GM P/N 12677967

Dealer will "flash" this calibration for 100 octane fuel for track use.

QUESTION

Is there any software products out there that will let you make adjustments such as this 100 Octane calibration?

Thanks

And it is FREE!! But it says it is for the 15-16 Z06 only. I wonder if it will be available for the 17 ZL1. And I wonder if you can turn the calibration on and off at will...

I think this was more to help the Z06 boys with their overheating issues when at the track.

From what I've read it changes the A/F mixture and ignition timing curves. So in essence its a mini-tune.

Any GM Techs here? Is there anyway to upload and make these adjustments at the Track?

That way you can run 100 Octane profile at the track, load the 100 Octane Profile with its performance gains, then change it back to stock and run pump gas on the way home.

Anyone? Bueller??

Possiby link it to the "Track" option???

This really has my attention. If offered for zl1 I will do this as my only mod til out of warranty. I would buy a 5 gal of Torco or similar to get my 100 octane. Then I get a mod with maintaining my warranty and keeping my promise to the wife of no mods voiding warranty til paid off and out of warranty. I have a 6 year warranty on mine.

Only problem with that is unless you run the tank almost dry at the track you'd still have a substantial amount of 100 octane in the tank when you drive home.

This has nothing to do with the ZL1s, it's for the 15-16 Z06 only. All it does is stop it from pulling as much timing as it normally would in response to higher intake air temperatures.

I am cracking up at the thought of this possibility regardless if it is not for our cars. I go through 9 gallons of fuel per 20 minute session. There is no way possible that I could spring for 100 octane at $11.00 gallon at the track. $600 in fuel for one HPDE? Yeeeiiikes
