That would be pretty sweet, a Camaro tested and beaten for 200K miles. I hope the production model will be able to handle the abuse I "might" one day put it through.

Ignorance like that just makes me depressed. Today I saw one guy criticize the Volt because it was built on a Camaro platform.:slice::bangdesk:

While I certainly don't agree with the guy, I think this is great (and a well needed shot in the arm for the auto industry)
America NEEDS this - the back and forth arguments from MOPAR fans, FoMoCo fans, and GM fans. Of course we all know by now our Camaro will spit asphault chunks at an SRT8, but for people to be invigorated with cars again is just great. For so long, we've had to accept the plain Jane, commercial design of many American cars, void of character and defining attitude. At the peak of the muscle car wars in the late 1960's, you couldn't go a mile without seeing someone you'd just love to drive circles around, knowing your car was better. In this day and age of front wheel drive V6s and up untill recently 4 speed automatics and round, inverted bathtub styling, we now have at least one car from every American company with individual style, attitude, and respective fans can now argue again! This is FUN! This is what America is all about. Now I know what my uncle was talking about when bought his 1966 GTO in 1969, and he told me every topic of discussion amongst his friends was about the cars, if GM or Chrysler or Ford had the best ones, and then going out on the street and having fun. I don't know if this is a full resurgence of the muscle car wars (probably not), but for us enthusiasts its a blast and I hope no amount of CAFE and hybrids can kill it! |

I just find it funny that so many fanboys of the Mustang and Challenger know NOTHING about the Camaro... and we, the Camaro fans, know almost EVERYTHING about the Challenger and Mustang... I can tell you GEAR RATIOS on Challengers, for crying out loud! lol
there are some Ford and MOPAR guys that do cross over and educate themselves, but they're soooooo few and far between that it always surprises me when I see one on a Camaro/Firebird site... even though I am on most of their sites
