SPONSOR VENDORS OR BUSINESSES OFFERING MILITARY discounts?

Curious why I've not seen any...

They are out there but I usually don't ask for them. No one owes me nothing in my opinion, I served for my own reasons. Is it nice, yes. Is it required, hell no. Plus a lot of fraud out there with people claiming to have served who have not. If they do offer discounts they need to also have a way to verify service.

I always ask. Never hurts. Is it owed? No. But its definitely appreciated.

Alabama added a Veteran indicator on our drivers license a few years back - was so glad to be able to leave my old military id and copy of my DD214 at home.

+1. I have vet plates on my car, so sometimes I'm asked, but I'll never seek it out.

In person, I'm usually asked because of my appearance, I suppose. Most of the time I do ask, why not? Sometimes I forget to ask.

Even Taco Cabana in San Antonio give 10%.

I miss my tex-mex...

I am not saying don't ask, I am stating my stance. I don't usually ask. I do have a good example though. A motorcycle helmet starter company (not Skully) recently had a buy in and offered 50% off for military but they used a verification system. It was publicly offered and I jumped on that. Nothing wrong with taking a company up on a deal but I wont go to say Wally-World and ask for a discount (unless I already know they offer). That's me, and not trying to dictate what you or anyone else does. I didn't mean to come off snobby.

Concur. Didn't get snob from anything at all. Bolt in rear tire at 400 miles. Great. Like find one in stock right? Dealership fixes free on Veterans Day. Changed diff fluid while doing oil. No added fee any discount serves both provider and provided. Repeat business, loyalty, relationships
