I would be pissed if I owned a 2010, which I almost did but decided to get the exact same 2011 instead because well it would be new for longer. Weird logic I know.

Sweet! It works - After I got the phone registered it updated all the car stats and the lock and unlock works. Pretty cool stuff!

We should keep contacting them so that they know the interest is there. Id be willing to pay for the app if it worked on my '10! This app would be the only reason i wouldnt cancel my onstar IMHO.

I concur. Who wants to start a list so we can show them exactly how much demand there is for the app?

I just sent them an email through their "Share your ideas" form.

Here is what I sent, feel free to edit and use it. The more they hear from us the better.

Form - https://ideas.jdmconsulting.com/osid...action=NewIdea

My letter:

"MyLink App for Palm webOS and 2010 Camaro

Dear OnStar,

I learned today that the MyLink app has just been released for the iPhone and Android mobile devices. I do not own an iPhone or Android device but I do use the Palm Pre with webOS.

I also found out that my 2010 Camaro will not have this option. Correct me if I'm wrong but its still 2010 right? I'm an IT guy so you can give it to me straight. Why wouldn't this just be a firmware update to the 2010 Camaro if its available on the 2011. You already have the access to use these features remotely so isn't just the issue of granting those permissions to the app?

I bought my vehicle in August so I still have 10 months left on my trial service. I really love having the security that OnStar provides and features like turn-by-turn navigation. Right now I'm on the fence as to whether I would extend my subscription at the end of the trial. I need to justify the monthly cost and little options like having such an app available for my phone AND car would go a long way.

I look forward to your response. Thank you!"

A cool way to unlock the car. Haha yes its kinda pointless, but its also more convenient and the nifty factor is through the roof.
