I have Doug Thorlies and am very satisfied. I paid $506 with discount at Autoanything but that was back in October. Fit and finish as well as looks are superb and definatly feel seat of pants dyno difference (improved low/mid range torque). No tune required and won't void warranty!

DT shorties look great, and I have them, just don't expect any big numbers on them. I just posted my test results in the other shorty forum. Long story short, 18 RWHP gain on same dyno with 93 octane and DT shorties (claimed 18), Hennessey CAI (claimed 14), Borla S-type cat-back (heard somewhere Borla claims about 20 RWHP - pipe dream), and no tune. With tune on shorty/CAI/cat-back configuration, estimating maybe 22-23 RWHP. You can't add up all the gains linearly, doesn't work that way. Shorties with tune, possibly worth 18 RWHP, but not just shorties. Manufacturers don't like to tell you about the tune they do and/or do things like cherry-picked corrections, no smoothing, etc. Lots and lots of bad data out there.

If you are going to get a tune, you might as well just go with LT headers and get the extra HP that comes with them.

Exactly. You'll get twice the gain with longtubes/HF cats and set yourself up for even better numbers when you add mods later. We all know we're going to do more mods later ..

Agreed, you have to stay shorties. Can you do CAI and tune as well? That should get you low 20s gains.
