engine cover

I'm wondering if any after market company, or even GM for that matter, will offer the engine cover that was on the concept. That thing was sweet looking. That's the engine cover they should offer in different colors. The option to have a colored engine cover is cool, but for the price they're asking to do it, I'll be waiting for different options.

I'm plugged in.

fwiw, since it's obvious all the billet and shinyness won't make it for a reasonable price; I like the shape of the concept engine cover slightly better...it's so shapely -- looks like armor.

I'd rather have it without the engine cover too. The concept engine cover looks really cool though.

Im ordering a 6, and Im hoping the same thing. I think there will be aftermarket covers that come out that will be better looking than the painted versions that gm is offering. Im holding out for a nice chrome cover myself....that would look great when you raise the hood on a victory red camaro.

While I like this option, of course, I'll not be going this route. All the performance mods I'll be doing will be internal. Porting and polishing, cam, balancing, etc... so the concept engine cover is more what I prefer. I like to keep parts original, so if GM will eventually offer the concept cover, I'll go for it. Otherwise, I'll just be stuck with an ugly cover until someone else comes out with a good one. Not a big deal, just like the concept better. It's shiny!

GM does an awsome job optimising the flow and efficiency of the LS series engines...

I don't know if i would want to pull the engine, tear it down, polish and rebalance ...to gain ultra minimal hp.

But like everyone says...it's your car..do what you want...most of all...have fun!

I'm hoping LS3 Corvette covers bolt up because I really can't stand this nasty Camaro cover....a little fake looking is one thing, but this new cover is horrible IMO. I mean seriously it's almost as bad as just mounting it on TOP of the hood to make it seem this big mean engine is coming thru.

That's my plan. I would like, however, to install "CAMARO" and maybe "LS-3" emblems in place of the "CORVETTE" emblems. Just got to figure how to remove the corvette ones.

gonna be hard since the covette and LS3 emblems on the corvette covers are molded intentations into the plastic you could always just put a 3d emblem over them i guess
