JANNETTY RACING CUSTOM VORTECH SUPERCHARGER BRACE

Battling belt failures I had to come up with a solution to stop the flex of the supercharger brackets.

I located a brace made for Mustangs and had it built to our center to center.

Then the challange of fitting it in the tight confines of the engine compartment.

It was a really tight fit, Tony took many hours to custom machine the parts to get this to fit with the over size radiator and cog drive.

The Brace mounts to a plate on the lower pulley and hub on the upper pulley.

Equip with high speed bearings this will stop all supercharger flex.

There is a turn buckle in the middle for fine adjustments.

Here is the results.

JRE took the ECS Corvette Tensioner and made the necessary design changes to make it work on the Gen5 camaro and it is sold under the JRE logo manufactured by ECS no secret..

Braces like that are commonplace on Mustang's etc

But there has to be a better adjustment than the turnbuckle in the middle...lets face it, when installed and you need to adjust it, the damn adjuster is impossible to get at !

Once installed there is no need to adjust it and it is easy to get at on this car.
