Wicked HP makes 928RWHP with Vortech YSi on pump gas...

Featured on CAMARO5 HOMEPAGE.

Wicked HP out of Las Vegas, NV wanted to put together a package with a Gen.5 Camaro that made a statement to everyone that when it comes to performance...they mean business! So Cody Chapman and his Wicked HP crew built the bottom end of this beautiful black SS and installed a Vortech V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharging System with optional 50mm cog drive and set their sights on quadruple-digit crank horsepower numbers. The preliminary results? How does 896RWHP on pump gas sound? That's right folks, that equals well over 1,000hp at the engine! Cody and crew aren't even done yet, and hope to squeeze more of out this beast before they are finished.

This just goes to show, whatever your desired power level, a Vortech Supercharging System is THE choice for Wicked horsepower on your Gen. 5 Camaro!

What was that smoke coming out of the engine at the very end of both run?

@Brian: How much power does the YSi draw from the engine to make that power? For example, if an standalone engine was producing 500 hp without running any S/C and you connect a YSi to it, without the S/C feeding the engine, how much reduction would you see from 500?

Care to share more details?

Is this still an LS3? LSX? Stroker?

Fuel system?

Types of Cyl. heads etc?

Awesome nonetheless... great job.

Turn that blower up and 1000RWHP is in the bag. The top 10 cars out of our shop all have YSi's on them. Great Job Guys

The engine is a stock LS3 block, 405 cubic inches, 8.6:1 compression, stock LS3 heads ported by Wicked HP to flow 400cfm, Wicked HP custom grind cam, stock intake manifold, stock throttle body, Doug Thorley Tri-Y Headers, Custom Exhaust out the back, 91 Octane pump gas, Vortech V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharging System with optional 50mm cog drive, custom tuning by Cody Chapman @ Wicked HP.

As far as hp draw from the blower, Vortech features the most efficient superchargers in the industry, so due to the efficiency and design of the Vortech centrifugal compressor it will certainly be far less than any other Supercharger...no matter which brand you choose!
