I just started P90X on tuesday, but I am not doing the whole program. I am not trying to lose any weight, just gain muscle. I am not doing the yoga, dieting or cardio stuff. I just want to see if I can get results from just the muscle workout videos. I am at 145 lbs right now, 6' tall. I can definitely tell its working though, I am so exhausted afterwards. Good Luck!

p90x is killer. Definitely keep up with the pics, they are the biggest motivator. If you do the full program it is impossible not to end up ripped. I did it like 2 years ago and only did maybe 4 days a week and definitely got results.

Good luck, keep it up. "Do your best, forget the rest!"

First advice, DO NOT USE THE BANDS.

I have had three of them break and snap already. I finally forked the money for a pair of cheap 15lb dumbells. (that's really all you need, unless you want to move down to 10's or up to 20's.)

I need some heavier weights, I am using 8lbs. I need like 12s.

You really don't need any of this stuff. Check out a book called Convict Conditioning or visit http://www.beastskills.com/

I got it but am afraid to use it,

here is why

got it for $30 on ebay, WOW what a deal.

Its a China knock off bootleg
though looks 99% real. [packaing and stuff is all right]

when I tried disc 6 in my computer checking them out, it nuked my hard drive.
[guessing the Chineese don't want anyone to copy their bootleg???]

DVD player in the living room where I would do such a work out, is my Xbox.

I don't want the thing nuking the HD in my Xbox.

Too cheap to buy the program for real, or to get a real DVD player for the livig room, so Im still flabby :(

If you want to bulk up you gotta take whey protein shakes or "recovery drinks" which contain whey and creatine. I went to my local GNC and talked to one of the guys and told him I wanted something similar to the recovery drink on P90x and he recommended this one called "Aftershock" and Taylor i gotta tell ya bro IT WORKS !!!!!!! and im sure you know what im talking about after the work out you feel drained and with no energy and your muscles hurt like hell the next two days, well I started taking this drink this week and i am not even one bit sore how I was before and as you can see by my pic I am bulking up quick

If you want to bulk up p90x isn't the way to go from my experience. I did the workout twice and of course I put on some muscle but it is really a lot of toning and overall fitness.

I've put on a lot of muscle now just by actually going to the gym and taking protein shakes. Depends on what kind of results you're after. I'm going on my honeymoon in June and thinking about doing another set of p90x now to get cut now that I put on more muscle with conventional lifting.

I got mine for free... a friend burned me a DVD with the workouts I wanted. I used to drink muscle milk after I went to the gym, it has a lot or protein so I might start drinking that again. I am not really trying to get buff, I just wanna get ripped and tone.

I'm not doing it to build muscle either, I'm trying to get back in the shape I was in high school. So, I do P90x 4-5 days a week and do cardio 3-4 days a week. I drink muscle milk before working out, but I need something for afterwards.

I think it will be pretty easy to see results quick for me since I have like no body fat
