Eliminating seat belt buzzer and warning light

My 5 point roll cage is on its way from RPMROLLBAR purchased through here on the quantity purchase. KILLER DEAL!!! My 5 point belt harnneses are here. I need to eliminate the seat belt warning light and buzzer as i will not be using the factory seat belts. I see where a couple asked the same question and all they received were OPIONIONS on seat belt safety.

Has anybody eliminated there buzzers and warning lights. THANKS!!

Yeah, someone asked this a year or so back here on this forum and got nuked with "seatbelt safety" lectures from every other member or so. I would say this isn't the place to ask without getting more of those lectures, but obviously you have your 5 PBH and cage on the way, so I doubt you'd be spending money on them without using them.

Either try to do a bit more research and searching if you going to DIY, but otherwise I'd take it down to a private custom shop to have them snip the wire. (I'm lucky that I have a place like that where I live, you may not be as fortunate)

Good luck!

Well the easiest way would be to just get a buckle and clip it in and leave it there. Don't know if you want to do that, but it would definitely work.

There may be a way to spoof the switch inside the buckle end with the orange button. I'm assuming it either leaves the circuit open, or it just closes it. Possible a cut and splice type of job? I know the wire runs down the buckle end towards the floor.

I had a 2006 Mustang GT, in the back of the owners manual there was a sequence that you could do buckling and unbucking the seat belt a few times and then you had to turn the ignition on and off a few times. I'm not sure if our cars have that, but it may.

There is a small connector on the side of the seat, disconnect and enjoy.

Finally, A legitimate reason to turn off the seatbelt warning light.

Come on now, this is a totally different scenario. I don't see him getting ripped up about this. The other threads were people who just didn't want to wear one in normal day to day driving.

And I'm willing to bet that if you had explained what you were doing, you would have gotten a much better response.
Most people probbably just assumed you just didn't want to be bothered with wearing a seatbelt.
At least now you're getting much better answers.
Good luck.

I was wondering if anyone out there had any advice on the best way to drink and drive?

I am having a problem getting the Big Gulp to fit in my cupholder. How do you guys manage to drive your Camaro with a big gulp?

Thanks!

Will a light on the dash appear if the seat belt connector is left unplugged or snipped?
