fair price for a 2010 SS engine and trans?
A guy in my area has a 2010 SS with a 6 speed manual that he wrapped around a tree. the car is a total loss and the rear half the car is destroyed. I have an opportunity to buy the engine complete with harness and the 6 speed manual with clutch pedal assy. the entire car only had 7500 miles on it. is $6000 to much to pay for all that? i'm thinking it would make a good donor for my 67 Elcamino.

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?

That sounds like a decent price, I have seen engines go for that.

Sounds like a good price to me ! 426HP and a 6 speed manual. All you'll need is an LS controller and gas pedal, I think.. Can you still get the 100,000 mile / 5 year warranty with that ?
See if you can get anything else from the deal like the fans & radiator, wheels, brakes.. Maybe you can put all those into your elcamino too !
