Last I heard the BRZ STi was coming without a turbo. Not sure where a turbo model would fit in the lineup there. I haven't been keeping tabs on it though, so maybe that has changed. It would be one awesome little car with a turbo subaru motor in it.

From what I have seen the FA20 (the little guy in the BRZ) is handling boost a lot better than the EJ motors in the WRX even from a NA standpoint - a few shop cars pushing 500's...granted they don't have as much torque - it will fun to see what the next few years bring for cars

BRZ will get a turbo but what about the FRS does that mean toyota will put their engine into the car soon and supercharge it?

No Toyota will never put there engine in this chassis.(stock) Now what would be cool is a 2jz supra engine with a power glide....

Ouch!

Meh, typical doomsayers.

Performance cars, trucks, and SUV's will always have a market, no matter the cost. There might be fluctuations in demand, but we see that across all the markets. There will always be people that will be willing to sacrifice a few extra bucks at the pump for the added performance.

Pretty cool not a bad deal for 9100 bucks on top of a brz and I bet you can recoup some of it when you sell of the Brz motor to some tuner shop. I say its worth it.

The Crawford BRZ made more torque then horsepower. 500hp/550tq

This statement shouldn't worry anyone.

This is why the next gen Camaro will be out on the Alpha chasis...which is much lighter.

The video also said it is having issues with overheating, but I suppose it proves it can be done - even if it happens at 7k rpm.

It's got over 300wtq at 2,500 rpm and peaks at 4,750 rpm.

There was another kit out by full blown I think

Torque wise it seems like Crawford is doing it right in comparison.

Crawford used a fairly small turbo for the power they are making and in my opinion, you really don't need much more than that in such a light car. It's over 300 lbs lighter than a z06. With the right tires and suspension setup, that thing would be a blast.
