Exclamation Production Subaru BRZ sports coupe pics posted

Official pics of the Subaru BRZ coupe posted before its debut next week:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2342

Looks VERY similar to the leaked FR-S / FT-86 except for the front end. Rear looks basically identical.

So it comes down to which front end people prefer - the BRZ or FR-S/FT-86 ?? Mechanical specs are gonna be the same.

White looks so much better than that baboon butt red color they been using for the FR-S/FT-86!

Not the best looking car I have ever seen but an STi version could be tempting.

And their version of the pancake engine's sound is just not right.... sounds like a pillow fight in a cardboard box!

Looks like a Nissan Altima Coupe in that first pic. Pretty boring. The rear end looks kinda cool though.

On paper, looks like a great sports car. 200hp, 2500 lbs, very low center of gravity, RWD. All depends on how well Subaru executes. I'm confident Toyota will find a way to make their version look and drive like a Corolla.

i don't care how light it is.. it needs atleast 250 - 275 hp/tq before it should be considered a modern sports car. those numbers are great for about 15 years ago.

the car has actually gained roughly 2-300 lb and MT said the car struggled a little to get up hill on their test drive.

2500/200 weight/power ratio puts it in the same league as the V6 Camaro, and the lightweight and superior balance and CG means it would run laps around one on a road course.

Besides, this car is more of a Miata rival and a pony car rival. The magic will be in the way it drives and handles, not straight-line speed. It's not meant to be a 12 second quarter-mile car, and it isn't trying to be.
