Did some chasing on this one. Ran into the GM Zone rep while at the store and explained the problem of not being able to get the lights on the 1LE, nor could we add RS to 1LE. He thought it was strange. Brochure said yes to the combo but the VOG wouldn't let you do it.
Long story short and this might be why they are slow on building 1LE as they need to get it straight.
His email went up the ladder, way up. Got word back on thursday from GM that the VOG will be corrected and now you can get the performance pkg combined with the appearance pkg.
My order is in. 2SS/RS w/1LE VR.
It was also confirmed that the 1LE will have the 10 wide wheels on the front and 11 on the back. I know there was some discussion about that GM was goingto put 10's all around.

After trying to order my 1LE today (and getting the no go) my dealership called GM/Chevy and was told the 2013 catalog will be open for ordering August 20, 2012. Set your alarms!
