Dang, I surrender! You are just out of my league. I'll never catch you. But when I run you again, you better be on your toes! I almost have enough $ saved up to finish up my suspension, get hearers & tune. But..............I'm keeping my back seat. LOL You go for it. You are going to get this thing done.

Are you making it back to the track soon?

No plans at this point but I'd love to get another good run in while the weather is cool!

No unfortunately the last test and tune of the season was back on Oct. 27th but with the rain it was cancelled and now the two closest tracks are closed for the season. In a couple weeks I have to get ready to store my car so things will most likely get slow and boring :( I am hoping to get this template done soon so I can start working on it over the winter but the weather hasn't been the greatest . It is suppose to be nice tomorrow so hopefully I can finish it. |

I took her up to Raymond's at the fest & got rear sway bars & a full set of bushings (Pedder's of course). I will get the front sway bars this time. I might do some other suspension stuff at some point but all my V8 buddies keep telling me I will never have enough HP or touque for anything else to make any difference. We shall see. After I get the front sways, headers & tune, I want to focus on cosmetics for a while, especially the paint job I want.

I honestly don't think suspension helps much in the 1/4 mile for us. Trailing arms maybe if u experience wheel hop but that's it. |

I also want to do a little autocross & road course stuff so the suspension stuff will help with that some. And I do like to enjoy some spirited driving on some or our nice curvy/hilly country roads. I do still want a nice feel to it when I drive so I don't want to stiffen it up too much.

Assuming you got rear cradle bushings (inserts or full?) how did they change the ride? Make it harsher?

Yes, inserts. It feels great. I don't think it is harsh at all. I want to add the front sways because when I do sharp left or right cuts & can still feel the front end lean & want it to flatten out more.

Yeah I know but I'm surprised someone else has not thought about stuff like that before now. With volume might come price reduction?

Update on the rear seat delete: After spending a couple of days try to find a store near me that sells aluminum sheets big enough there are no stores near me. I was able to find some stores online where I can get a custom sized one but shipping is twice the cost of the actual sheet. I think I am going to give up on this and just take out my rear seat whenever I race the car. I don't want to spend so much on making a rear seat delete where that money could go to fund some other part of this project. |
