ProCharger Chart

Procharger HP chart

Guys the chart that procharger publishes that quotes HP limits with each of their models is based on ENGINE HP NOT RWHP. For example if you look at the F1R specs. it indicates you can get up to 1225 HP.

Well your OPTIMUM expectations generally should be about 85% of that chart number to get you RWHP SO 1225 x 85% = 1078. In my specific case I make about 1015 with my six speed 376 CI LS3 2010. The MAX boost I see at that number is about 21 pounds. At this point in time with the exception of some fine tuning on the exhaust side the F1R is MAXED out with my combination.

With the same basic combination but using a F1A, I made roughly 900 actual RWHP (1100 x 85% = 935 theoritical) with the F1A.

The relative differences in power between the models appears to hold up. For example the 1225 rated F1R DID actually make Over 100 MORE HP than the 1100 HP rated F1A (900 actual vs. 1015 actual)

There are exceptions of course. I know for example Advanced Modern Performance made 1487 RWHP with an F1X on a corvette. That is off the charts but some things were done with the intercooler setup and tuning that help make that car exceed power expectations.

The reason for this post is to keep in mind what you want to accomplish as a power goal because MOST people go thru several upgrades before quinching their need for speed.

And several of these blowers from the F1X and up like to be over spun and produce bigger numbers than shown. It's not the most ideal thing to do but if u r a hardcore like myself and want maximum power do ur research and find out what people r actually spinning them too. I'm currently running a F3A-121 rated up to 2700hp

Over Spinning

I agree there are some people that are over spinning them CONSISTENTLY. At some point in time however, you can spin them faster but they arent going to make any more boost. The longevity of the blower I guess is what you sacrifice to a certain extent by over spinning them depending on how often you see full boost.

I would hate to see one come apart at 80,000 RPM, that would be very nasty! LOL I guess if you start seeing boost loss after a time and you know it's not due to any other factors, it is probably time to send her back in to PROCHARGER for a rebuild.
