[QUOTE=MrE;1388492]Don't worry about what others think of you. Its a stupid arguement to get into with people. The whole "oh, you got the auto, your are a Pu$$ for getting it." Thats crap. After driving sticks for over 20 years in rush hour traffic, I'm pretty much done. If people weigh their manhood on things like driving stick over an auto, then that speaks volumes about their charactor.

Well said!
I bought an automatic because I've had back and knee surgery. I plan on keeping mine for the rest of my life.

Faster/more consistent 1/4 mile times (NOT stock) and it is the polar opposite of another very quick car I have. Camaro = Small Block, TT, Auto; Firebird = Big Block, Centrifugal, 5 speed.

I believe the fun in a manual was never in the 1/4 mile, computers are extremely good at upshifting in a straight away. It is in the twisties, where you have 100% control over your shifting that makes the M6 more of an experience. (Tap shift does not compare to manual, period.) Jus' sayin'...

Bad left knee and the wife does not know how to drive a stick. The cool thing is I drove a 2SS stick the other day and boy I am glad I got the A6.

Daily driver in heavy traffic. Most of my driving will be to and from work, manual doesn't work for me in this situation.

2SS is a Manual, the LS3 Corvette is an Auto. I love them both for different reasons.

Injured arm 17 years ago. If it was not for that I would have went with a stick. It is not a daily driver, so for me it would not have mattered.

I chose the manual because 26 hp, 10 ft. lbs of torque, a 4% less drive-line power loss and the manual car is 53 lbs lighter and $1,200 cheaper! Plus the LS3 is the Vette engine.

Even though I drive in daily traffic, the above was too much to leave on the table.
