Just makins sure... Was the car running or in the accessory position when you checked them? They are off when the car is off.

Top 2 ringlands on my #5 piston. Thats what 12psi of boost and 715 rwhp will do especially when you are trying to see how long the motor will last. It endured 6 weeks of my daily abuse and finally threw in the towel.
Had a new motor being built when i was performing this little experiment. It should and has taken quite a bit more.

Tpms issues random wheel so has to be the system, ac is pretty terrible, and right front shock clunks hard at times on speed bumps.

Coolant Gurgling - Warranty - TSB to add valve.
Electrical Whining Noise coming from TCM - Warranty - TCM being replaced today AC Fan whining/clicking - Warranty - Blower Motor being replaced today Unresolved issues: Clunking Engine Noise on cold starts - I don't believe dealership has investigated this yet, I think it may be lifters. whooshing/grinding noise on acceleration coming from dash. I believe it's related to coolant system. But have not investigated or asked dealer to look at it yet.

26k miles total...
Snapped transmission output shaft - at the track first time on DR's - covered under warranty shattered my rear end(posi unit) - at the track, 1 wheel wonder, then BOOM! - replaced with stock posi unit. so far so good! Ringland on cylinder 7 gave out - 9.5psi of boost over 620whp.... still down but replacing with full forged rotating assembly. Gotta pay to play :-) but for running over 600whp for over 2.5 years and over 80 total trips to the track. I am not complaining for how she held up.

So, this is my second post on these forums (first was proudly announcing that I replaced my 2001 Monte Carlo with a brand new 2013 Camaro 2LT). The car only has 357 miles on it but while I was driving down the freeway to work today I heard a sudden "clunk" from the transmission and then it started slipping between 3rd and 4th (automatic)! I took it to the nearest dealership and now I'm driving a rental car after having my Camaro for only 2 weeks! The service manager says the transmission may need to be replaced but they haven't finished troubleshooting it yet. I can't believe that my car might need a new transmission (they better put a new one in and not rebuilt this one since the car is so new!) already! Pretty disappointing, to say the least. :(

My 2011 1ss had an alternator failure at 2000(Insulator where charge wire attaches cracked.) On my 2013, I broke an axle at 300 miles(surprisingly warrantied.) I also had a rear brake rotor crack at about 8000. Currently my drive shaft sounds like its about to fall out due to the rear rubber coupling melting.

My 2011 SS has about 20k on the clock. Here is my list of fixes thus far:
-Oil cooler leak - fixed -Oil cooler gasket leak - fixed -Oil pan gasket leak - fixed During the above, the dealer chipped the hell out of my paint. It came down to their word vs. mine. Guess who won out in the end (not me)? - Defect in surface of wheel - fixed - Radiator cracked and leaking - fixed - Master cylinder reservoir cap leak - 3 caps later, I'm going to have the TSB performed for the reservoir. Hopefully that is the end for this issue - 3rd gear lockout at high RPM (above 5k) - unresolved after many attempts because it's random and NEVER happens for the techs during test driving. I've chased down every avenue on this and it boils down to this. Short of a miracle (re: recall) the dealer will rebuild the trans only if they can reproduce the issue. Otherwise, I have to turn to a speed shop and dump 3k into a proper rebuild. I've given up on this issue btw. The hassle I've already been through isn't worth a second more of my time.
