Hello from Cleveland - New LS Owner! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Just wanted to hop in here and say Hello to everyone. Picked up my baby in Chicago two days ago with 4 miles on the odometer (paid $21,700 after title and doc fees), (still have to pay taxes) 2011 Black LS. Really wanted the SS but couldn't afford the insurance, and didn't really care about any of the other v6 trim levels.

I am SUPER happy with my purchase, the drive home from Chicago to Cleveland was awesome, despite hitting a snowstorm once I reached Sandusky. I was totally surprised how well the car handled in the snow, even w/ the summer tires on. I read a thread before purchasing it where people said it would handle like crap in the snow, and you'd need to put sandbags and such in the trunk. Nonsense... I was driving through 2" of snow w/ summer tires and handling was fine! With snow tires this thing should be a beast.

Anyone on these boards around the Mentor Ohio area? Would love to find some other C5 Owners around here!

Also... I really want to hop on the mod train real quick (which is the reason I stuck w/ the base LS trim package). Can anyone point me in the right direction here, I am looking to add fogs right away, HIDs, and if possible (and relatively cheap) the HALO's for the headlights...

Having a hard time deciding on rims, but I think I finally settled on black, other then the rims and the above mod's... I don't even think theres anything else I need / want to do to her. That is unless you guys have any suggestions?

Congratulations. You will want to attend the NEOCC "Fall Classic" in September at Summit Racing. It is an all camaro show and the biggest in the area.

Your car got the true ohio baptism, baptism by snow thats what happened to me when i drove mine home, hit a snow storm, and welcome.

I'm in Mentor also. Been looking for someone to do new stripes for me. Probably vinyl depending on cost of painted on.
