PULLING THE TRIGGER ON AXLE-BACK
Ok, I am going to order my-axle back this weekend. Trying to decide between MRT V1 or MRT V2. I have a 2011 RS V6 with the only mod is a CAI intake. I would like a nice rumble at stop lights and at city cruising. I don't want a ricey sound. ( I know V8 guys, it isn't going to sound like a V8, I get that, but I don't want a ricer sound either). Please keep your opinions to the MRT V1 and 2 please. Going to Cars and Coffee in Dallas tomorrow, anyone with either of these exhaust going to be there?
Have an awesome Camaro weekend everyone! |

I have the V1. I've never heard the V2 in person so I can't say one sounds better than the other. I can say that I love the way my V1 sounds.

Thank you. I called a couple of vendors on here this morning. They both recommend the V2

I just ordered the V1 myself, I loved the sound on youtube....it makes a huge difference with the headphones.
I chose the MRT 1.0 because thats the sound I prefer. I have the Injen CAI, and the Vmax ported throttle body, so I feel like it's going to sound great. Also, I'll be at cars and coffee tomorrow too, hope to meet up with ya!

The v2 is definitely a deeper tone. The v1 is louder but raspier. If you are looking for a rumble at the stop lights then the v2 is the obvious choice.

The MRT v2 sounds awesome WOT and much better than stock at idle.
Just be prepared to spend another $100 on a X-pipe if drone bothers you. If drone don't affect you, you'll love it as is. |

Chase I left you a voicemail earlier today. Would prefer to order from you. Do you take PayPal? Another vendor does plus he will sell V2 for $499.00 plus free shipping.

Straight pipe 80 bucks lol.
People tell me it sounds unlike anything they have heard almost exotic. Don't make the mistake I did buying an axle back. |

I have a 2011 RS, also with CAI Inc intake and I have the MRTv2 too. The sound is great and there is really no drone at all. I can't say the v1 is not good, but I know the v2 is pretty awesome.
Oh, and there is no mistake buying an axle back, go with it.

I have the following installed:
BBK long tube headers CAI intake MRT1 And other performance mods (That woulnd't affect sound) I do have trifecta with aggressive ghost cam. I have fooled 4 people who HAVE cams into thinking I have: 1) Cams 2) A v8 I had a guy with a supercharged HEMI challenger come up to me on the street and say "Your camaro is the best sounding camaro I have heard in the city!" I also had a guy with a shelby GT come up and say "Your car sounds INSANELY mean for a 6...." And one guy came up with a 800 horsepower 05 mustang and say "Dude your 8 sound sick with cams!" where I told him "My 6 doesn't have cams" From where his jaw dropped. I was always told that the mrt1 is louder then the mrt 2 ON IDLE. Which I knew my car would be sitting idle at most car shows with the cam on... I have yet to hear someone say "Cool v6" its always "Nice v8/best sounding v8 camaro" I cant compare the two of course, but I can say that I am insanely happy with the sound and I never would expect to get these kind of compliements |
