I know it's just a transmission, but what does this mean for cost?

Like one of the comments mentioned, Ford's biggest thing for the Mustang over the Camaro was the cost, they actually know how to price their vehicles unlike GM.

So... does Mustang price go up? Or does Camaro price go down?

I'm guessing the former.

What part is fake? GM and Ford absolutely co-developed the 10 speed auto.

It's not fake at all. The GM/Ford 10 speed is a reality.

There's also a 9-speed co-developed by both companies. And this isn't the first time GM/Ford have collaborated.

Hell there were spy photos of F-150 IVERs pulling out of Milford Proving Grounds a few years ago.

Huh? The Camaro has always been the best car for the money by almost 10 grand.
You can't touch a V8 Mustang or Challenger for under 50k. You can get into a V8 Camaro for under 40 STILL.

Keep in mind they've been running the same manual transmissions for some time now. T56 then the TR6060. It is a bit odd to seem them build something like this together but it doesn't mean squat as far as rivalry goes.

The Challenger 6-speed V8 is MSRP $31,995 which is great for the fun it'll provide.

interestingly...the opposite is true here...mustangs are usually less expensive as compared to the camaro.
