Well I turn 60 this year and I had to take a real hard look at my self . Fact is driving skills will be going down over years from here on out . I been driving a manual trans DD car for 42 years now, the trouble is I don't have 18 years old knees any more so I need to make a change .

Been looking at what kind of car I wanted to move over to as this year been going along . I really like GT 350 but there manual only so there out. I like how the ATS-V preforms but not a fan of the dash or CUE and for 60+ k ( its really 70+ k) that car need to come finish on the inside as well as the outside ( it's only halft way done ATM) . I like BMW M2 not a fan of the new M3/4 . I like a hole bunch of Porsche but don't have Porsche money . Last but not lease I like the SS sedan form down under . Just so you know I hate the new 2016 Camaro and the C7 corvette .

The plan was to keep my 1LE Camaro and in 2017 pick up a use 2014 SS sedan . Than GM goes and has that 20% off sell over the 4 of July week end. That work out to be 10k off the SS sedan so it when from 50k down to 40k and i just could not pass it up . So the 1LE is now down the road and I now have a new 2016 SS sedan auto trans .

I never been a GM fan boy but my 1LE has been one of the best cars I had over the years . Some of the things I learn form my 1LE ( yes even at 60 we can still learn ) is I really like the LS3 engines . The other thing is I really like the Zeta chassis . The Zeta chassis my be old but that does not mean it doesn't still work good . Holden up-date the Zeta chassis on the SS sedan for the last two years run they will be making 2016/2017 (GM is closing Holden down in 2017 ) I just could not pass up on such a great car . Last just wanted to say thank you all for the great time I had on this forum

I LOVE the SS sedan, just couldn't get one in Canada. And the car looks great! Congrats!

Congrats on the new SS!!! I've been eyeing those since they came out. GF said someday I'll need a more practical car and I think that SS is as practical as I'mm willing to go lol

If the SS production hadn't been delayed, I would very likely be driving one now instead of my 1LE.

Thank you everyone for the kind words . There something to think about my new 4 door sedan comes stock with DOT4 brake fluid in the car and my 1LE came with DOT3 that just not right .

Anything with a V8 is cool and the car being white with black accents almost looks like a smiling skull awesome look!!!

Great thing about the SS is that several mods can be done with the Gen 5 as everyone knows on this forum. You keep bone stock and be happy like my co-worker has done on his recent purchase, plus his wife loves driving it. Or a person that are in there 20's and 30s can go a little wild with it and still haul the little ones around. Or such as the OP needing a DD but don't want to give up the the LS3 power and keep his knees intact.

I went to Vegas trip and heading out on a mid Sunday the traffic was horrific and working the clutch as painful enough where I had to stop and my knees are as good as any 40 something guy can have. lol

Hmm got me to thinking what is the next gen SS going to look like. Nascar runs it as Chevy's body and its different than the typical Impala. Wonder if the Monte Carlo will see its return to the sport.

Heard rumor that the 2017 SS will be the last year of production.

But was more interesting was that, it might have the lsa supercharger.

If true, then I might be looking into a trade myself.
