New member of the American Racing Header crew!

Hello guys and girls! I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself here on Camaro5. My name is Josh and I have joined the team at ARH to help assist them with the online/ forum part of business. If anyone should have any questions about the products here at ARH, please don’t hesitate to ask. The quickest way to get a response is by sending me a PM. I will do my best to answer everyone’s questions.

I also figured that I should give everyone a little information about myself. I first became acquainted with American Racing Headers back in December of 2006 when I was looking for a set of headers for my 06 GTO. I had contacted a few different companies, but after talking to Nick here at ARH and seeing their product in person, the choice was clear. Since then I have had 4 sets of American Racing Headers on my cars, most recently on my 05 GTO.

Anyways, I look forward to spending my time helping everyone here. Like I said please don’t hesitate to ask me anything!

Josh

First, welcome.

Now onto my question for you.
As you mentioned you have had four sets of ARH, did you have them ceramic coated? If so, what process (mfg) did you go with and how did and for how long did the appearance hold up? Any comments on engine bay temp would also be appreciated.

If you did not have them coated, keeping the car as a summer driver, what can I expect the appearance to look like in three years? Any prep to the surface before install to extend the appearance should be done?

Thank you in advance for your response...

I would also like to hear your thoughts on header wrap.

I did not coat any of the 4 sets of headers I have had. I did debate coating them black on my current GTO for appearance since I'm doing a black and blue theme but I love the look of a bare stainless steel header. Also as far as engine bay temps go, I have a set on my 07 Corvette with a blower making 600rwhp and I have had no problems with the car in the middle of the summer. Once I get the Corvette back from the shop, I will get you a picture of the headers since they have been on for about 4 years now but they look like they did when they were brand new. I feel that some people push coating because the headers they sell may not be a true stainless steel header. Stainless steel headers won't rust.

Thanks for the welcome! It looks like quite a few sponsors on here are running some specials on ARH headers.

The crew at ARH are some good people. I know I have seen your car somewhere in the past but I just can't place it. Was it at Nassau Coliseum by any chance? I absolutely love what you did with it.
