What kind of phone will work ...

Can someone please tell me what kind of phone will work with the Camaro's OnStar system? I'm about to change plans and want to get the right one.

I use my iPhone with the Bluetooth connectivity and I love it. I don't even have to take my phone out of my pocket to answer and place calls. They have the onstar app for the iphone as well, but I don't use it as much as I thought I would.

You mean bluetooth or actual onstar?

I believe for on-star you have to add the number assigned to your car to your service and it is only with verizon last I remember.

As far as bluetooth, i havent had any issues with any phone that has bluetooth.

eggydoo & boilermaker, thanks - I want to be able to do the remote things like check mileage and gas level, so I mean the phone app. Yes, and use the phone over bluetooth in the car as well. Sounds like an iphone is the way to go? Would a Droid work too?

I use an older LG with Bluetooth. Works fine as long as the two devices can "see" each other via the Bluetooth search.

Bluetooth works fine for me.

I have the App on my Droid. Works ok. It's slow and OnStar is going to expire soon though and I don't intend on renewing it.

droid incredible works for sure. i have one. works bluetooth (which most do) and OnStar. i think the OnStar app is more an issue of the 2011 than it is the phone...as long as it's a smart phone.
