Let's be honest..You can never have enough hp. If GM would have dropped the LS9 in it we all would have said [whiney little kid voice] "Why bother dropping in the LS9 if you're not going to at least match the GT500 hp? Come on GM!" lol.

Hmmmmmmm. I guess my answer is I'm extremely happy with my car.

But there is no such thing as too much hp. So maybe I'll do some pulleys and a tune one day.

This.
I'd settle for 400 pounds less.

Perfectly happy with what I have now. My Z is fast enough FOR ME. A few hundred pounds lighter would be great for the car & maybe one hundred pounds lighter for the driver, too.

I'll admit that I am wanting more HP. I do like what's there now, but it's a addiction. Always wanting more.

I guess that's why most drag cars are "women's cars" as you put it.

Like what was said already, the weight is what's really keeping this car from being a much more fun ride. No doubt this would be an easy 11.7 car with just 300 lbs less weight to carry.

I wish I had gotten a manual tranny but they appear very difficult to drive. I don't think I've personally seen a stock one run quicker than 12.5s.

That's a good thing. Can't believe I missed this the first time. Are we celebrating the fact that the GT500 doesn't handle for crap?

My SS felt a whole lot faster than the ZL1 does, a whole lot. And it was only 430rwhp.
Nice job on the 11.87 Dan.

11.99 stock internal for my commuter vehicle and then I do heads/cam or get something else. I miss high 10's, been 9.4's as my quickest ever in the past.

That said, I'm ready for a bit more power too.

Get ready. Manuals are dying quick. Even the new GT3 dropped the manual for a 7 speed DCT.

I was referring to the drag strip. The 500s are making so much power that I've seen a few literally get out of hand after making a hard shift into 2nd. That's the kind of power I'm looking for. It makes for a very entertaining but challenging ride.

I know that when my car finally scares me, I can then stop modding

I know what you mean, my GT500 accelerates so fast its hard to keep it straight. I love the ride of the ZL1 and its handling is superb, but in a straight line the GT500 is king in my eyes, and I'm a Chevy fan, just saying
