Magnaflow High Flow Cats at an incredible price..and a few recommendations

I drive a 2 SS MT with JBA midpipes (offroad) Breathless Performance CAI (incredible seat of the pants gain, no dyno though) and Borla S-Type mufflers. I also deleted the resonator. The result is an absolutely incredible sound (if anyone wants an audio sample I can certainly provide one shortly) and performance for a minimal cost. Anyway, the reason for my post is to make you guys aware of a little bargain I found. Though the sound of the car is sweet, I noticed after the mid pipes were installed that the cabin vibrations were a little excessive, of course the check engine light turned on, and the smell from the lack of cats has become unbearable. I'm not knocking JBA at all, incredible product, just not what a guy like me is looking for This has caused me to do some high flow cat searchin to weld onto the JBA'S. I was referred time and time again to magnaflow for their high flow cats. I found a 2.5 inch diameter 11 inch length cat (perfect for tight applications) with a metallic substrate for optimal flow. All over the internet they ranged from 95-110 dollars each. On a website called performancepeddler.com, they have them for 95 dollars as well. Upon checkout, however, you can type in a coupon code. if you type "bestoffer4em" you'll get them for 66 bucks each. Thats 33% off! If anyones in a similar boat as me, or just looking for high flow cats anyway, i seriously recommend checkin out the site. The part number for the cats is 59956.

to be totally honest i have a magnaflow x-pipe being delivered to my house as well. I guess we'll both find out. Its a fairly well agreed upon notion though that X pipes produce more horsepower than the H pipe, but noticeably quieter, which is what I'm going for anyway. I think someone on this forum reported quicker acceleration.

ill be honest man, ill post a video of what mine sounds like.. all together with the midpipes and the S types and a cool guy at meinike that hooked me up with installation it costed around 500 dollars. I wouldnt do it any other way. A full cat back system for this car is as close as a waste of serious money as you can get. Its one thing if your looking to squeeze out the extra 5 horses that you wont really feel anyway. Otherwise, I'd cut costs man. Ill post a video tomorrow, I cant imagine youd want it much louder.

Does anyone know why Magnaflow chooses to cover their x-pipe section with what looks like another muffler?

I didn't know there were two different versions. Do you have any links or pics of the two and give us an idea of the differences between them?

Ok...so when I go to Magnaflow's site and put in 2010 Camaro nothing comes up about X-Pipes. Since I didn't know that there are two different types I didn't think to go searching their site. Magnflow has a bunch of stuff and since I'm not a dealer I don't know their site inside and out.

I'm sure you get a bunch of what you consider stupid questions and it's okay to think that but when you're trying to build a customer base you should probably re-read your posts to make sure the customer doesn't take it as you calling them stupid.

You may not have intentionally meant it that way but what I read into that post was "come on you lazy dumb ass...look up the information yourself....then let me know what you want". Since you didn’t answer the question as to the differences it tells me you probably don’t know the difference. Also, because you didn't direct it specifically at me they it sounds as though you're tired of other people not knowing their stuff as well. After all....we should be well informed of information and part numbers before asking you a question????

The good thing is that you show why people like Ted Jannetty will get my business. He is eager and willing to give true recommendations and not make you feel like you have a stupid question. He also gives good explanations of the why and what when he answers. I'll pay a little more money for better knowledge and customer service.

Hey guys….got a question….talk with Ted at http://www.jannettyracing.com....SHEEEZZZZ!

My sincerest aplogies. Your assumption is simply that. I was giving you direction. I expect people to do their due dilegence yes.

www.Magnaflow.com ---> If you know the part number... Use search top right

OR

www.Magnaflow.com ---> Products ---> X,Y-Pipes, Miscellaneous. Follow the links.

OR

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/02xypipes.asp

Difference:

OR

The X pipe in question is not specific to the 2010 Camaro. Though this part is included on several other Year/Make/Model systems including the 2010 Camaro catback system you found, its also sold as a single part not affiliated with a specific year/make/model axleback or catback. The folks in this thread are creating a "custom" exhaust by piecing together components. So what they are looking for is not a put together exhaust for the 2010 Camaro.

Buy from Jannety AND Livenois. Atleast they won't charge you a full arm & a leg like others to answer your questions. I support them both!
