2014 RS front chrome strip

On the 2014 RS, does anyone know if the the chrome strip is attached to the grill or the fascia? Does it look removable if attached to the grill? I hope to put the grill from the RS with the square openings on a non RS 2014 1LE when I get it. Of course I could only do it if the strip is not permanently attached to the grill.

I haven't seen it in person or read anything about it so I cannot give a definite answer but unless the strip is bolted to the front fascia it usually is a strip of 3M double sided tape, like your badges.

I pulled on it a little and it seemed pretty well attached. Really not sure what's holding it on though.

I actually kind of like it - but I'm concerned that it will start pitting & start peeling in a few years. Not sure that was a good idea putting it there.

Be interesting to see what mods are created for replacing or removing.

Thanks. Plan B will likely be adding the Z28 type grill.

Keep pulling it should pop out or else look for a release latch.

Wrong Paint it is the real way to go IMO if you don't like it Plasti dip just seems too cheap looking like spray paint.

With paint, you get a couple rock chips, and the whole thing is ruined. You get rock chips on your plasti dip, just spray over it and bam. And Plasti dip doesn't look like spray paint.. It looks like flat (matte) paint.

On my DD'ing Pontiac, I sort of riced it out with a chrome strip on the grille (hey, it looks good and I like it lol), basically same concept held on by the 3M tape. Have had it there without replacement or need to add extra adhesive for 7 years and the chrome looks just as good as the day I put it on. I would hope the Camaro's chrome will do even better, seeing as it's a stock component and not something you pick up at a non-auto parts related store

That reason is pretty much solely why I got a 14 instead of waiting 2 months for a 14. I think it looks ugly and cheap. And the put too much of a point on the nose.

Two lights are okay if you get the upgraded LED one but I'll stick with my 2x2 tail lights over those any day
