Talking USAFJeepers Camaro

By way of what I am about... I am a retired USAF MSgt now working in civil service on a weapons system I worked with on active duty. I have a wife of 25 years and 2 children attending Georgia Southern U.

I wanted a daily driver. I have loved Camaros since I was a young boy and saw all the bad asses driving Camaros and Firebirds. My first love was the blue with white rally stripes, 69, if I remember correctly. Somewhere along the way I decided to get a Rally Yellow one, I had been enamored of yellow vehicles for several years.

So I bought a daily driver V6 for the gas mileage and the lack of temptation to go fast. Unfortunately the V6 2LT has enough power to make you want to go fast, sigh.

Now knowing that what I know about cars can be measured with a micrometer, I will have most of my mild mods done by installers and friends in the Rockin Robin Camaro Club here in Warner Robins GA.

With no further ado, delivery day!

Garage gets the first decoration related to the car...

First things first. It needs stripes. I did not want to get Rally stripes like everyone else so i searched the internets far and wide for ideas. I ended up with Shakedown stripes on teh sides, gill slit inserts, and hood spears with RS on them!

I think it turned out pretty good!

So I did a appearance mod, surely another appearance mod is not next, come on, you added something to the engine right? Um-mm Nope! I purchased bow-tie stickers for the wheel centers and then painted and added stickers to the engine cover!

Time for a performance mod. I studied the work of great V-6 owners, read threads, looked at videos, perused dynos. And then I purchased an InJen CAI. Thanks to a fellow Rockin Robin and the tire shop he manages, I was able to reward him for quick install of the CAI (Remember, I know NOTHINK! NOTHINK!)

Next up is probably a Flowmaster American Thunder... Stay tuned, while I try to figure out how to have a muffler delivered to my house without my wife suspecting anything!

Added the Hooters Mod last Friday...

It is looking good. We bought our Hummer from Kandy at Jerry Barkers. Good people to do business with.

Kandy was my salesperson as well. Of course it was easy for her... I wanted a Camaro, they could get me one, they told me how much money to bring!
