Why are so many people selling their gen. 6 Camaros?
A ton of 2016 camaros are for sale on this forum and I'm curious as to why? Why go through the trouble of buying one to turn around and sell it? Is there something that makes them to hard to live with? Lack of vision? Space? They seem like awesome cars. I've never been in one so I'm curious to know.
Thank you for any input. -Fruitay |

I bought the best priced 1SS I could find at the time. Now about 10 months later I want to get a 1LE. Wasn't much info on the 1le at the time including price. I really like the car but I could see how someone could be critical of them. Vision is tough, back seat went from small to unusable, tires only good in nice warm weather etc. I think it's a great toy but if someone had kids or it was their only vehicle I could see why they would possibly want to sell it. And it does seem to me like a lot of the ones on here for sale have been to upgrade to another camaro. Zl1 and 1le weren't available in 2016 models.

I want a ZL1 but no way i would take a loss like that to trade in a lease early. The 2SS i picked up is everything i could want minus the groaning diff. If i seen the ZL1 A10 before hand i may have sacrificed my lower payment and went big willy style!

I am so happy that I have the 2SS. If not, I'd be in line with a bigger check waiting on the ZL1.

There's always a certain amount of people who sell their car not long after buying it. I think that probably holds true for most cars. Maybe they realized they couldn't afford it or it was a stretch, maybe it wasn't practical enough, etc. Then of course as others have said, the ZL1 is amazing and quite tempting for those that can spend the extra money for the upgrade.

YES! I prefer performance models as well. I love the 1LEs' and damn, the new ZL1 seems like a crazy bargain to me. The performance you get for the money is- in my opinion- AWESOME. But we all knew performance models were coming... I guess we all get "the bug" and can't wait at times. Something has to fill that void when we know we can have a toy NOW and can't stand to wait.
I'm happy to know there are junkies out there like myself. Well, I hope you guys get what you want and it all works out for ya. I also hope Chevy makes a new Z/28. Maybe it will knock an already low price down even further ! |

Could be many reasons!
Spurge of the moment now realizes they have to pay for it! They found manual with city driving isn't for them! Some may not like the site lines! Friends bug them into a luxury brand not knowing this cars worth! Sports car not practical! Who's knows for sure but I'm keeping mine for 3 to 5 years I even thought of trading for a 2014 up corvette but decided it's not worth the hit from a financial stand point for a basically the same performance car and I really do love this car! From here I don't know where I will go I love the lotus evora and the alpha Romeo and the new stingray all really good head turning cars. I wanted a bang for the buck like my cobalt ss turbo was in 2008 and I got just that

There's not much that would force someone to take a huge loss financially, and that's even worse financial hardships keeping it. That or money is no object, but those people are so few and far between that we can ignore them.
Normally I'd blame kids and people making the mistake of having them, but even if you did ruin your perfectly kid-free life you would have at least a couple years before they became an issue for your awesome camaro. |

Some people wanted it then realized they need a larger vehicle, money, new house, new toy, ect....
As much as I want a ZL1 vert I just cannot justify spending $75-$80k on a car that will sit 355+ days a year in my garage. Can I afford it yes but my kids are too young to enjoy car shows so it would be just me and it's not fair for them or the wife to stay at home while I enjoy driving the ZL1, plus all 6 of us cannot fit into the ZL1.

A lot of people buy cars like these in the thrill of the moment only to realize they're not practical daily drivers or primary transports for people with families. People also sometimes look at a $600 a month car payment, and another $100-$150 on top of that for insurance and go "You know, $700 a month is a lot to tie up in this car" and then trade it in. |
