planning help?

I am looking into modding my car. want to limit the amount of time spent swapping parts in and out, so end result I want a supercharged Camaro cammed, I want a supercharger that really whines when under load. so heres what I have planned so far headers 2" or 1 7/8? for now will 2" be an issue with back pressure since iam not FI currently or can I drive around on it until I get the supercharger. also the Cam can I do the cam now have it dyno tuned and then add the S/C later and that cam will work with the S/C. trying to spend the least amount but do the most amount to the car before adding the S/C. any ideas?

It's usually a good idea to go that route anyway...getting all the supporting mods in place before going FI. 2" headers will be no problem without FI (you just won't notice much of a difference until you get into high-HP), but you might have some fitment issues. Some people have had to dent or mod theirs to fit near the steering column and whatnot, just an FYI. It depends on the car and brand. As far as a cam goes, just tell whoever you're getting to do it what your power goals are in the future and they will whip something up for you. One of the biggest things you're going to run into is having to get it retuned every time you add something major like that. It would probably be best to add as much as possible in one go, so you're not wasting money and time on multiple tunes. Good luck!

good call , CAI and bigger TB I shouldn't need a tune right? headers I can go without a tune too I think, I don't remember when I did my LS2 vette I waited until I had the cam to get the tune but idk if I had slowhawk perf make me a small tune for the headers, I did have a CEL but that's for the lack of heat exchange for the 02 sensors so it was expected other than that I really didn't see any signs of pre detonation or anything of that such, just a nasty ass bumper after 10 miles of driving.

That's correct, a PTB and (most) CAIs don't need tunes. There are certain intakes that do, like the tuned version from Vararam, but most don't. It should say whether it does or not on the website or wherever when you buy it. I have a CAI Inc. intake on mine with no tune and it runs great. Also, a PTB from Bo White or VMAX won't require a tune. That's not to say a tune won't bring out their full potential, however, but I would wait for the cam or headers until you worry about that.

You can run headers without a tune too, a lot of people do, but their full potential won't be reached, and just be ready for the occasional CEL to pop up once in a while.
