The price hike is huge on the Mustang GT to GT500 upgrade too. GM needs to man up and make the car the enthusiasts in here wish they had the balls to. Go big or go home.
GM should just stick in a LS9 under the hood AND a plastic Jesus on the dashboard and get this over with....., nothing else..

...the suspense is killin me....will there be some cameo appearance screen shots of the Z28 in the Transformers 3 this summer? If so, I hope he is a dressed in black villain who escapes to fight again <heh-heh> Will there be a late winter auto show announcement? Is GM going to wait until the convertible orders are placed and delivered? Will it be in the fall of 2011? Will FBodfather blow us all away with an exclusive announcement? Stay tuned folks....

Expect it to start no less than what the GT500 starts at. The V6 Camaro is more expensive than the V6 Mustang, the SS is more than the GT. No reason to expect the pattern will change.

So I'd say it will start at about $50k

So right. Look again at the integrity of the chassis vs the mustang in the Vids that Justice Pete posted in Z/28 facts thread. That alone is worth a big premium.

Still have my 88 Iroc which I purchased in 97 and still drive her most days!

I was leaning towards getting a a Nickey 2011 Stage II Super Camaro, but if this new Z28 has everything that is expected I think I will definitely be buying one this year. I'm looking forward to seeing the final specs on it.

I would say expect the ZL1 from SLP to be the closest thing to a Z28.
