TWIN TURBO LS3 2010 FUEL SMELL INSIDE CAR?

I have a 2010 ss twin turbo with 3 inch magna flow exhaust. It has a squash fuel system with the teflon line to eliminate fuel odor. When i am cruising the car it seems i always get a fuel odor inside, even when i have tha air on recirc. I was curious if anyone else ran into this same issue? Im not sure if it is because i dont have cats or what. If its from that i am almost thinking of putting high flow cats on it with electric cutoutsto activate under boost. I cant stand any kind of fuel smell inside while driving. Thanks for any input

When you say fuel odor do you mean it smells like gas when you fill your car, or does it smell like the car is running rich? Each smell would likely mean a separate issue with the fuel, I would think.

Ya i was just thinking about that. I think its almost a raw fuel smell. I cant see anywhere the fuel system is leaking. Im not sure if theres a way to smoke test the system to see if theres a leak somewhere

Raw fuel, I would say check all connections. Rub your finger on each connection and feel for moisture or dirt build up (smell too). If it's burnt fuel, I would say check for exhaust leaks and route crank case ventilation to somewhere further from the cabin (if open).

If the fuel is leaking, there's a decent chance it's hitting somewhere on the undercarriage of the car and evaporating due to the heat. The evaporation releases the vapors, causing that smell. I couldn't really offer advice on smoke testing, or other ways to leak test your system, but it would be a good place to start if the smell is more like raw fuel.

Was the pump installed by dropping the tank or by cutting a whole under the back seat?

assuming all is tight..then the smell is from no cats and running slightly rich...which is good overall. U can ask your tuner to lean out a lil..and the rest is basically "the way it is". Also u might get a lil vapor smell after shutting off the engine in really hot environments. My experience. I also checked for leaks, but found none. Keep us posted.

I had a magnafuel fuel pressure gauge blow apart and starting dumping fuel out of my rail. I only noticed a slight odor nothing major, it wasn't until i realized i went through a 1/8 tank driving across town did i know something was wrong.

You upgraded to the Squash which means that you probably upgraded your injectors too. Are they all sitting correctly? If not, you could be blowing fuel out from one.
