Poll: do you have or want a clear bra on your 5th gen?
I am seriously considering having one installed on my car but don't know if I will like it or not. I love to keep my car clean and polished, and do not put many miles on it... Yet I also worry about chipping up the front end. I hear good things about them from people who have them installed, yet it seems like very few Camaro owners here actually have them on their cars. Just wondering who has one and who does not, and your reasons/recommendations.

I dont have one, but have been interested in one, as well. Not sure if they are worth the cost, though. Can they be installed by me, or will I need to get a professional? Are there brands that I should consider, or not consider?

I got a clear bra (3M) put on right at the start and do not regret it at all. The nose is clean (no chips) and the bugs come off very easily. It was somewhat costly but I am happy I did it. I would definitely have a pro put it on.

I wish I had gotten one when my car was new. Expecially after the drive to and from Arizona for C5FII.
If you get it, and don't like it, you can always have it removed. But, if you don't get it, and get a bunch of rock chips, you'll be kicking yourself later (like me)

I have the Avery clear bra applied to my front facia, the mirrors, and the gills.
As far as I'm concerned it's the best investment on a $45k car I can think of. Especially when it's a black one. (g) |

Worth every penny. My last car ( 09 Honda accord coupe) looked like the front end was sand blasted, and this was after just one year. It was black too, so it looked even worse.
Made sure the camaro had a bra on before I picked it up. Those worried about how it looks ect. You can't tell it's on the car till you are close enough to practically touch it. And even then it's not bad. Any car over 20 grand should seriously come with one stock.

I bought an 05 cobalt used, the front bumper was so rockchipped that when I bought the Camaro I had a clear bra installed on the front bumper and fascia. Very happy with Quality Auto Trim of Spokane, WA.

Best investment I've done so far. It has already saved my front end with less than 2xxx miles on it.
