So I never posted any photos of the winter upgrades on my 1LE. Pedders Permagrin Kit (Front radius Arm Bushings, Rear Cradle Bushings and 32mm Rear Sway Bar), Rear Upper Control Arm Bushings, Rear Radius Arm Bushings, Inner and Outer, and 1" lowering springs. also did an Aggressive Street Alignment. These changes have tightened up the steering and suspension and made my 1LE even better.

The previous post shows the winter upgrades. This post shows the results.
I went to Watkins Glen on 5/3 and 5/4 with the Genesee Valley Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America for their Ultimate Driving School and ran in the Upper Intermediate / Advanced Group. My instructor turned me loose to run my last two track sessions solo. The video is the end of my last session on Sunday with the stabilitrack and traction control in Comp mode. It made a big difference. I was driving the car harder than the systems would allow and it was actually interfering. What you can't see in the video is the Boss 302 Mustang that was behind me that I was playing catch me if you can with. He got to my rear bumper a couple of times but never earned the pass. I learned that the brakes on the Camaro SS are significantly better than the Boss 302. I could drive a lot deeper into the corners.

td195f - Nice. I really need to get to a track day.

My son Dan got a new toy, not a Camaro but it sort-of matches mine...

Great video nice & clear camera was nice & steady. To bad you couldn't disconnect the rear view mirror. Then I could see the road a head of you much better.

I've been messing around with location and that video isn't where the camera is going to stay. I raised it about three to four inches up from where I built the mount. Next time I will lower back down and the video should be better to the front. Can't remove the mirror. Driving School rules require it be installed. With 40 cars in my run group the mirror was definitely needed. I have never driven on track in that much traffic before. Note the speed out of the esses onto the back straight 115mph+.

I have the touch screen. So I got to focus on your speedometer & pulled it up close to watch your speeds in & out of the turns also straight away. I thought you were really hauling A$$ until those fart cans started going by you.

Some of the BMWs that were there, especially the Little Speed Shop cars were really fast. They are race cars. I ended up in the Advanced group instead of Upper Intermediate because they combined groups and put Lower Intermediates in with the Novices and Upper Intermediates in the Advanced group. I was out there with drivers with a lot more experience than my 6 days on track at Watkins Glen. You'll note that two of the three cars that passed me in the video didn't have a license plate on it and FYI I was hauling A$$. This was the first time I put the Traction and Stability Control in Comp mode and I like it. It was actually interfering with my driving when it was on.

The needle on your speedometer looked like it was on the left side of the dash for a good part of your run, far from slow.

Awesome video!
