Thanks man, It's so comfortable now! I should not have had to do this... It should have leaned back more, or atleast as far as my 2014 did. Shame on chevy for forcing you to sit at 92 degrees. How am I suppose to nap on my lunch in my car like that!

Also, this thread has better pics than that thread. I posted many imgur links. I think my photos are far more useful than any on that thread.

Ok...Sorry about that...but here is a pic from the ZL1 1LE when they first came out at the car shows, and a pic was posted showing that they fully recline (I guess just in the ZL11lEs)...

Thinking about it. I don't drive it that much but it would be nice to recline a little more. Even with the $75 piece you had to replace it would be worth it.

Seat started making a clicking noise. Thought I f'ed it up. Then I moved the moter all the way up and POP, the other pin fell out on back floor. Everything is fine. So Yes, if anyone attempts this, the other pin SHOULD end up falling out.

Neither does my 2017 1LE either. This mod is on my up and coming mod list in the coming weeks.

I also don't think this is a coupe versus convertible issue either. It is a anti-submarine feature to keep people from sliding under the seat belts when in a frontal collision. Lexus was just sued last year for a person who was critically injured due to having their seat fully reclined when an accident happened. Even though the owners manual advises to not drive with the seats reclined Lexus was still found at fault.

I am sure this is a knee jerk response now from the manufactures implemented from the Corp Atty recommendations.

We wanted our for sleeping as well, we have a long trip planned and it would be nice if the passenger can sleep along the way, currently it is not comfy at all with the seat not reclining. I also want the drivers side to recline as well as at times I take naps in the car between shifts at work.

Turn off engine, transmission in park, parking brake set, seats fully recline.

Yes I am but not sure if the seat mechanisms shown in your pics are the same on my Recaros. But to clarify - after unzipping the covers we should look for a pin (or a soldered part) to the right at top? The left pin you drilled was not the correct one?

Both of the soldered parts you see are both stoppers (in my pic). The one I drilled first was the original stopper before chevy made it even less reclinable. Right above the gear you should see at least one welded spot. Drill this or both out until the the other side pops. Sit in your seat holding the motor button down while putting all your weight on the back of the seat, it SHOULD break free (some people have issues but I don't think they pushed hard enough. I needed a lot of force!). The welded spots above the motor are safe to drill out. Don't drill out the motor! lol
