I will request a report on the option code once the last 2010 Camaro comes off the line - this way we'll have a complete count........

I heard that they made 1700 in the us and another 200 for the rest of the world to enjoy. Most of them (over75%) were 8cyl models. The most rare of the four versions is the 1SS and the highest production version is the 2SS.

I don't think there are 1900 or even 1700. If there are only about 10,000 +/- RY yellow camaros it's hard to believe 15-20% of them are TFE. I've only seen two in my area in six months, mine and the other one at the dealer. Every time I see a RY camaro it is not a TFE.

I've called and called GM. They are not giving out the info. I'm guessing they produced between 500 on the low end of the spectrum and 1500 Max.

It wouldn't matter because they supposedly stopped making the TFE (option code CTH) back in January so the numbers should be the same.

We tried to figure it out that way. The vin #'s are too far apart. They just made them to order whenever, one at a time.

Ah, but normally, production numbers are "reconciled" at the end of the model year run. Then and ONLY then are there "official" records. The point is, that if they WANTED to extend the CTH run for say, two weeks in May, they could have. To release numbers prior to the end of the 2010 campaign would be premature.

Until they come off the numbers, it's just a guessing game.

While it would be NICE to know how many CTH's were V6 or V8, interior options, sunroof models, etc., I doubt it will be broken down very far. At least we know how many yellow ones there were...ALL of them!

IIRC, it was the end of July when they FINALLY made the option available for order due to Hasbro dragging their feet. Supposed to have started 6/24/09. But, the last day to ORDER one was 1/12/10. So depending on a dealer's allocation, the cars could still have been built into March or further. Not sure when the last one rolled off, but that's another reason they wait until the end of model years normally to announce production numbers of a limited edition.
