Butt Dyno...

Ok so i installed LT's with no cats and have the muffler delete and it SCREAMS now..a little too loud for my taste so i'll be looking for a set of mufflers now.

My question to everyone with a similar set up would be (besides needing a tune to optimize performance), Did the car feel slower after installing the LT's? I dunno if it's just in my head, because of the noise, or what, but It just feels like i lost all my low end power? Anyone else have a similar experience?

Just curious, Tim

Oh I have a K&N intake added, but nothing else bolt on wise....

As mentioned, you probably need some back pressure (at least a good catback or axle back exhaust) and a tune.

You should feel a noticeable increase in performance after Long tubes. My car went from 12.9 to 12.5 in the 1/4 mile after getting long tubes. I could also feel a very noticeable increase in performance.

I picked up 32hp and 49tq after installing my LT's and CAI @ 3500 rpm. You shouldn't have lost any power. It does feel different to me though. It may be the extra rumble that tricks you into believing your car should be going faster.

Ya I went and drove it again, and it pulls pretty hard now. I'm gonna put some flowmasters on there probably for some back pressure and then get a dyno tune. Should be a winning combination.

Oh i'm not saying it slowed it down, just askin if if felt a little slower for some reason...I don't have a baseline to compare it to, but as soon as i get a dyno tune i'll post up the #'s..

You still have X-pipe or H-pipe right, without it you would of lost some power.

and do you have mufflers ? yes this guys doesn't

just because you gain high does mean you gain low in some cases... this guy doesnt have allot of back pressure he will lose low end power but gain high end power

The Flowmasters are going to drone like a sumbitch with your longtubes. I would recommend the Magnaflow "Street" axle-back or going back to the stock mufflers.
