Has anyone tried the Flowmasters on a L99?

Just curious if anyone has tried em out? How bad is drone? or afm? They sound good from video, but idk if it was L99 or LS3...

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the video about the AMT (American Thunder) system on the Flowmaster website is an L99. Not completely sure but listening to the video it sounds like it shifts from gear to gear like an automatic. My video in my sig is an LS3 though. I think it would sound great on an L99 but not sure about AFM. That's the big question.

Listen to the video on the AMT system. The narrator repeatedly says "LS3" but the car in the video is definitely the L99 without a doubt. You can tell by the stock exhaust that it shows them removing, then the obvious shifting of the driver using the paddles on the back of the steering wheel, then there's the sound of the shifting from inside the cabin...definitely an auto. It's no shock that these vendors get the lingo all mixed up on this car. Good luck.

Edrock is correct, the one in their Video is the L99, you can tell from seeing the resonators when they pull off the stock exhaust @ about 1:10

I run the Flowmaster "American Thunders" and they growl. Great sound and priced right..Yes i do have a L99...So AFM can be heard but to me its not bad. You get used to it quick! I like the sound of a agressive exhaust. Nice and deep....not tinny sounding like others.

When i run my auto start in the parking lot..Believe me people look!!!!

I have noticed on this forum when people talk about AFM they act like the sky is falling. C'mon guys these are muscle cars not cadilacs. I changed my exhaust so i can hear it. Unlike the stock exhaust.

If i had to do it again i would still have purchased Flowmasters.

I had it. Tore it off after 3 weeks because it didn't improve the exhaust tone as much as I thought it would. I switched to magnaflow comp series 2.5" and it sounds amazing. Worth every penny and it sounds very aggresive. The drone isn't as bad as people say. I think it varies from car to car.

I have the FLowmaster Super 40's with a Magnaflow X Pipe and tips and LOVE the sound and fit. It was better then buy American Thunder setup because by having it custome built, they were able to tuck the Flowmasters up high in the back where you can hardly even see them.
Cost me less then the whole Flowmaster setup and looks and sounds better!

Man the Flows are a 180 compaired to stock. Definately a big difference in sound.

Flowmaster cans are tucked up high. You can't see them unless your on your hands and knees.

bigtex686 has the Flowmaster cat back on his L99. Sounded great when he got it but it sounds way better now with his new ARH LT's and high flow cats. It was a little too quiet prior to the headers IMHO.
