Water leaking after car wash
2nd time same spot when going through the car wash.
Lifting up the plastic trim and it’s dry, but you can see the trail of the water down and onto the carpet Ideas??

Do you have a sunroof? Maybe one of the drain tubes have come loose.

I second the door seal. I had to replace mine not long ago due to this reason. Except mine was getting wet in back floor board instead of the front.

I agree on the door seal. Sunroof drain tube runs behind the kick panel about 10 inches forward.

With it leaking exactly at the junction between the kick panel and the sill panel it is easy to pop those plastic pieces out and take a look ... just clips no screws holding them in. Is your door empty of water, drain plug holes at bottom of door clear? Maybe a good idea to pull the sill and kick panel and allow it to dry less chance of mildew.

All you guys are talking about hard tops? I had water there and was thinking it was related to the vert.

The trim panel is not installed correctly as the long outer edge is sitting on top of the door seal gasket.
That trim edge should be tucked under the door seal. (just like you see the front kick panel you see in your picture)

Is that true? Because looking at mine, the panel looks the same.

Glad you posted this pic. Apparently all the seals get torn in the same bottom location. I thought it was just me but I have had two now tear just like yours.

Yeah it drives me crazy, but I don't notice any leaking because of it, so I haven't bothered going through the process of replacing the whole thing.

So the plastic piece need replacing or the actual rubber seal? I noticed it on my car last week as well.
