CAMARO BROKEN !!!!!

So im going for a little ride and decide to do a 2500 rpm take off when boooooommmmm klakklaklak.......broken bolt lying in the road. Think drive shaft conection or something. I remember this hapening to someone else on here but cant remember who. seems like the problem was that the bolt was not tempered correctly or something. here is a pic of the bolt.

so it is on the wrecker now and i can see how it attaches. it was where the drive shaft connects to the rear end looks like all the bolts sheared off so the pic is of two of them. call dealer and they are going to pay the difference of the tow bill and will take care of it in the morning....we will see

I think you will be OK blackenedSS. These cars are made to launch somewhat so you didn't do anything wrong. It's just when you dump the clutch there is always the possibility of a weak link showing its ugly face. Maybe you're lucky it was just a few bolts that broke instead of a driveshaft/axle/rearend. Anyways sorry for your bad luck. Maybe when you go to pick up your car you should dump the clutch at 2500 again to make sure it holds before you get too far down the road. I am serious.
Warranty will cover it so don't worry. Good luck.

that was my first thought but it lookes like its where the ddrive shaft connects to the rear end couldnt see it very good at the time. but saw it better on the truck and you could see the rubber boot hanging down some and the heat sheild on the exaust was dinged up. just dont think this shoul happen on a bone stock car at that low rpm. the salesman should take care of me since we are probably trading in the wifes srx with him soon
