Convertible Headroom

Does anyone know how much more headroom you gain in the Convertible (with the top up of course!) compared to a hardtop with sunroof? I have a 2010 2SS with sunroof and am about to order 2011 2SS convertible.

It doesn't increase by much. The front headroom on the coupe is 37.4 and 37.8 on the convertible.

Convertibles normally add about half an inch of headroom. Somtimes it feels like you lose a little sight line from the visors being repositioned.

Have to admit 37.8 still sounds a bit close for me. I am 6'5" I learned years ago that I need about 38.5 inches of room to feel comfortable. I'd probably have to spring for a package that includes a height adjustable seat.

My intrigue is old ... but it fits tall drivers very well, which is one reason I've kept it so long.

I have plenty of headroom in my 'vert, I had NONE in the sunroof equipped coupe I tested and very little in a coupe without it. Hope that helps ease your concerns.

Very surprised with the headroom I have. I am 6'1" and even wearing a ball cap I am not touching the roof. Believe me, this was surprising and great news for my fear.

Slightly more headroom in the convertible than in the coupe/sunroof. I just got mine couple days ago, what a blast. Get your order in, you won't be disappointed.

The only thing I disliked about my 2010 Coupe with sunroof was the headroom. I am 6'1" and my head was right up against the headliner even with the seat tilted back more than I liked.

Just picked up my vert this Monday and was pleasantly suprised to find so much more headroom. Feels like 2" or more and in a much more comfortable seat tilt. Also, side visibility is much better with no side pillar.

I couldn't be happier!

I'm 6'-1", and I'm surprised by the headrrom in the vert. The height adjustible seat makes all the difference. It still feels a bit like a gun turret with the top up, but it looks awesome with the windows down! Dropping all 4 side windows makes the whole top look like something from a chopped roadster!

I still don't get why people have so many problems with headroom. I'm 6'1" and I fit perfectly which leads me to think of a few things, either I drive laying down, my seat is damaged or my doctor lied to me when he stted my height... I really hope is the first one.

I mean, I can see having headroom problems if you like to drive like a NASCAR driver, meaning eating the windshield. And this is in both, the convertible and coupe

miguelfranco, do yo have a sunroof? If so, have you sat in a vert with the top up? You will find significantly more headroom and much better visibility to on the left and right do to the absence of the side pillars.

Being 6'1" myself, I have to say my vert feels so much safer to drive do to the better and has a more comfortable driver position and increased visibility over my previous 2010 2SS coupe.

I totaly agree with you. And no, i don't have a sunroof. You know at first it was a pain due to visibility but i've managed to find my perfect setting with mirrors, seat position and finding the blind spot. Thank God i found this because that was my worst fear, you know, not finding it and having an accident because of all that.
