In searching around, i have found a lot of great reviews on each package in its own right. And most of it found in their own thread here on the forum or on their own forums respectively. But i have yet to find a comparison, somethign along the lines of a car and driver test between the two (if any even exist), so if anyone knows of anything like that id love to see.

Also, i would love to hear the pros and cons that people have with regards to each package. I see nothing but good stuff in the forums but not much bad. Although i have heard some twinklings of HPE doing some shotty work....any validity in that????

I would love to hear any feedback that you could give~!!!!

Thanks in advance,
Steve 22 - NJ

Hennessey tends to specialize in Vipers more whereas Lingenfelter has always done more Corvettes. I vote Lingenfelter in this case.

First off, I just want to say I wish I had your dilemma.
That being said, it comes down to personal taste and how much you want to spend.

Let’s look at the packages first.

LPE:

550 BHP / 550 lbs-ft of torque

When Lingenfelter installs the Magnuson supercharger system we upgrade several components from the base Magnuson kit for better performance and reliability. Each car also gets Lingenfelter PCM programming that lets you benefit from the experience LPE has gained from installing hundreds supercharger systems since 2001 when we first started offering the Magnuson superchargers as a package.

Package includes:

- TVS2300 intercooled supercharger system
- Black powder coated finish
- Based on OEM Eaton supercharger unit
- Properly sized fuel injectors
- Fuel system upgrades
- 160 Degree thermostat
- Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump fuel pump voltage booster
- Lingenfelter High Flow Air Intake
- Professional installation, testing and calibration
- Chassis dyno report before & after installation
- Excellent drivability, highway mileage not adversely affected
- Lingenfelter 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty
- Lingenfelter fender badges
- Lingenfelter certificate of authenticity

Package price - $10,995.00

Optional Items
Corsa stainless steel cat back exhaust $1,549.00
Labor to install Corsa exhaust $200.00

Normal installation time required: 1 week with pre-scheduled appointment.

HPE:

Power:
562 bhp @ 6,200 rpm
557 lb-ft Torque @ 4,200 rpm

HPE550 Complete Package Includes:
HPE550 Performance Package
Hennessey 3-piece 20" Wheels (uses factory Pirelli tires)
CarbonAero™ Body Kit
Hennessey Exterior Graphics Package

Additional Options Include:
KW Coilover Suspension (Variant 1 or 3)
Additional Wheel / Tire Size Combonations
Short Throw Shifter & HPE Shift Knob (manual cars)

Custom Leather Interior
And more!

Please email or call HPE at (979) 885-1300 for more information. Hennessey Performance can also assist in the ordering and delivery of your 2010 Camaro SS directly to our facility.

From what I've read, the main difference are badging all engine work is mostly the same stuff even the supercharger is the same.

LPE has a list price for the complete package of 12744.00 (not including the Camaro)

HPE does not list the package price you must call... so if you find that out would be good to compare.

Also I noticed that LPE does not include an AREO package, you must pay extra, but that maybe the same as HPE.

Also if you intend on buying your Camaro through a dealership you must take into account cost of transporting your car to either of the dealerships.

personally.. I LOVE the HPE CarbonAero™ Body Kit... over the LPE version. Have fun, and if you are serious I would call both shops for more information. I bet they would love to educate you on why their product is better over the competition.

Why does everyone hate hennessey? They are not shady at all. There have been many changes since the "shady" times. Hennessey has built almost 200 camaros and everyone running very strong.

I do not think we are hating Hennessey. I used to own a Venom myself. But, we all have opinions.

Sometimes even with changes the past will always haunt you.

Just want to say thanks to all of you who have replied. And i dont want this to turn into a "i hate hennessey" "lingenfelter sucks" type discussion. Just looking for real life feedback and any personal comparisons people have done or know of. Just want to make the best choice for the $$$$ cause hell it is a good amount for either kit. Money wise they are pretty comprable, same with the package itself. I was just looking for a little more on the real life performance and drivability cause this will be a daily driver (northeast - NJ).

Thanks again for all those who responded, and please anyone whos tops in share your thoughts on the subject!!!!

I have a hennessey. I am very pleased with the work done on my baby. I want to send them another. With that being said both companies are very good at what they do. You got to look at the details you prefer. engine covers etc. so pick your poison and enjoy either one will make you very happy

You cant go wrong with either company. LPE has a great product and so do we. Here are a few of the 200+ Camaro's which we have upgraded over the last year:

And here is more information about our company for those who have not been able to visit us in person:

Please give us a call to discuss your specific needs. We would be honored to serve you.

I love my 570 Lingenfelter.. It could be a daily driver if I wanted it to be.

It is an incredible upgrade. The LPE team is first rate.. they listen to what you want and recommend when needed to produce the best outcome.

They take their time with tuning and make sure that it is perfect before it leaves their shop.

I don't think you could go wrong with either shop. Value will go to LPE as the resale value in a buyer's eyes is more desirable being that they work mainly on GM vehicles and are "best of brand" for tuners on GM vehicles.
